VINTON:
      Nicole Renee Jacobson, 20, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Urbana.

      Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton   Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m., on Monday. Private Committal Services will be held.

     Nicole was born October 28, 1994 in Cedar Rapids and graduated from the Vinton-Shellsburg High School in 2012 where she was on the Honor Roll many times. Nicole also served on the high school paper, The Viking Voice.  Her favorite subject was chemistry and she had attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids hoping to become a Pharmacist.

     She is survived by her parents, Sandra (Tony) Kunkel of Vinton, her “Dad” Robert Kibbie, Jr. of Shellsburg; her grandparents, Nora (Ed) Venenga of Port Alto, TX, Anna Marie Kibbie of Shellsburg, Donna Kunkel of Keokuk, and Kirk and Elaine Tumilty of Shellsburg; her siblings, Cody and Tyler Jacobson, Dillon Kibbie, Bobbie Kibbie, Wyatt Tumilty, T. J. Kunkel, Brittney Davis, and Lucas and Seth Kunkel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her boy-friend Kyle Kirchner.

     She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Larry Venenga, Robert R. Kibbie, and Dale Kunkel.

     Nicole had many interests and truly enjoyed life.  She was constantly experiencing and learning new things.  Most of all, she loved her family and friends.
