VINTON – James Carl Vogt, 67, died peacefully Saturday, January 17, 2015, at his home in rural Vinton.
No public services will be held.
James was born January 18, 1947, in Eldridge, Iowa, the son of Carl and Rosemary Cossgrove Vogt. He attended Eldridge High School.
On July 12, 1991, James was united in marriage with Jacqueline Sweetland O’Brien in Bellevue, Iowa.
He worked at Rockwell Goss in Cedar Rapids for 15 years.
James is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jacqueline, of Vinton; three sons: Mike Vogt of Walker; Richie Vogt of Davenport; and Tim Vogt of Texas; one daughter, Brittnay Vogt of Maryland; two step-sons, Lance and Chad O’Brien, both of Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
A memorial fund has been established.
