Obituaries : Frances F. (Junge) Eichmeyer

CEDAR RAPIDS:

     Frances F. (Junge) Eichmeyer, 96, of 1825 Williams Blvd. SW, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at  Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospice unit in Cedar Rapids.

      A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. 

     Frances was born October 16, 1917 in Keystone, IA to Henry and Rose (Emmel) Junge.

     On February 16, 1938, she was united in marriage to Loren Frederick Eichmeyer.  The couple farmed until Loren’s death in 1963.  Frances worked as a microfilm Tech at Crest Microfilm in Cedar Rapids until her retirement.  She enjoyed quilting and dancing in her free time.

     Frances is survived by her children, Shirley Kleywegt of West Des Moines, Bruce (Marlene) Eichmeyer of Palo, Barbara (David) Hogan of Cedar Rapids and Neil (Cathy) Eichmeyer of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Tracy (Rod) Cheney, Lisa (Rich) Hart, Marc (Catherine) Eichmeyer, Clancy (Melanie) Champanois, Michelle (Jamie) Wipperman, Matthew (Brooke) Eichmeyer and Nicole Eichmeyer; seven-teen great grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters

     In addition to her parents and husband Loren, Frances was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Delbert Junge and her niece Joyce Ritscher.
