Robert H. “Bob” Smith, 80, died at Ravenwood Care Center in Waterloo on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, near Urbana. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, where a Scripture service will begin at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Survivors include a sister, Madonna (Leo) Roseberry; a special niece, Colleen (Owen) Maynard; 32 nieces and nephews; 81 great-nieces and nephews; 68 great-great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Paul, Donald and Junior; and his sisters, Catherine Smith, Rozena Takes, Mildred Peters and Bernadine Hepker.
