VINTON: Ron Mikoda, 68 of Vinton died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at National Cemetery, Vining with Pastor Josh Graber officiating.
Ronald Lee Mikoda was born May 10, 1948 to Dallas and Shirley Ann (McMillin) Mikoda at Belle Plaine. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1966.

VINTON: Karen C. (Schulte) Martin, age 66, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart with her twin sister by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton with Chaplain Dwayne Potter officiating. Tony Earl Olsen, age 71, of Greeneville, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2016. The VA and Amedisys Hospice helped him greatly in his last four months.
Tony was born on Mother's Day, May 13, 1945, to George and Mathilda Olsen in Artesia, California. The family moved to Dike, IA in 1950.
