For the residents of the Vinton, Garrison, Urbana and Dysart areas, July 11 is a date that will live in the memories of most.

On that date two years ago, a storm that include sustained winsd of 130+ mph winds caused millions of dollars in property damage and destroyed thousands of trees. Many area residents are still repairing damaged caused by the storm.

While most homes and business buildings have been repaired or replaced, work on some structures damaged by the storm (including the Iowa Braille School buildings) continues.
