Vinton Today asked Bar-Y Pyros owner Chuck Yedlik if there was anything new for the 2010 Party in the Park fireworks show.

"It's all new," said Yedlik, explaining that every fireworks show includes all new stuff because the stuff from previous shows was blown to bits.

But all kidding aside, Yedlik and his crew did find some new sights and sounds for the 2010 show at Riverside Park Saturday night.

"We have some Japanese shells that are a little bigger and a little pricier than others," said Yedlik Saturday afternoon as he and his crews set up the show.

The show began after dark Saturday night, as Bob and the Beachcombers finished their concert of classic rock and roll and 60s beach music.

The audience cheered throughout the show, and applauded and cheered as the grand finale filled the sky over Riverside Park with the familiar sounds and colors of the annual tradition.
