The Tilford 4th grade students ended their study of the 50 states by celebrating their annual Iowa State Fair Day.

Each student chose one of the 50 states to study and feature in a display. Then on Friday, the students attended a miniature Iowa State Fair. The event included ice cream, games, livestock displays and other events. Naturalist Karen Phelps brought her collection of animal hides. The Farm Bureau table included information about corn and ethanol. The ISU Extension grain safety display taught children about certain farm dangers. VS FFA members brought some of their livestock for a petting zoo.
