News : Celebration Park Fund Drive closer to reaching its goal

The Celebration Park Fundraising Committee is very excited about coming closer and closer to reaching the goal of $250,000 for the construction of the new community park located along the cedar River just west of the Vinton Fire Station.

John & Deb Ketchen have generously helped to make this a possibility with their $5,000 donation to the park.

“Our community has been blessed to have people like the Ketchens who are always willing to give generously to projects and improvements in Vinton” stated Duane Randall, Director of Parks & Recreation.

The committee has started to except bids on part of the project with less than $10,000 yet to raise. The deadline to assure that your name will be included on display at the park is Friday, March 29. All funds that are received will stay in a Celebration Park Fund to support the park for years to come.
