Tonight, Thursday, November 15, 2012, we will have the opportunity once again to see the Veteran Lighted Parade starting at 6pm.  This is open to anyone and everyone and at the end of the parade, we will light two 15 foot Christmas trees on the courthouse lawn.   Following the lighting of the trees, kids will have the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap at the Benton County Courthouse.

This Sunday, Vinton Unlimited will partner with local businesses throughout the community to host the Vinton Christmas Open House from 12 Noon until 4pm.  During this time, you will have the opportunity to find great deals at local stores throughout town and start your Christmas shopping off right.  There will be fun for the entire family, including llamas in front of the US Bank building!  Many stores will be having special deals and giving samples of new products throughout the afternoon.  Von Ketelsen will join us once again by playing music throughout the streets and may even stop inside a couple of the stores to play some Christmas music as well.

In addition to the great music provided by Von this year, we will be welcoming Brooklyn Heuer back to Vinton to also sing at some of the stores. Then, at 4pm, Brooklyn will be joined at the Palace Theatre by her entire band to put on a FREE concert for the community.   Many will probably remember Brooklyn joining us for Boom-Fest this summer and we are very excited to have the opportunity to welcome her back for another great concert!

Bring the entire family for all of the fun throughout the weekend in Vinton!  It’s going to be a fun time to start off the Christmas season right and get some amazing deals throughout the community.  Remember to stop by your local merchants this year for all your Christmas shopping needs.

We’ll see you on the streets!
