News Benton County woman dies in traffic accident near Cedar Rapids

A Benton County woman has been killed in a two vehicle accident near Cedar Rapids.

According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Tina Ellis, 39, of Watkins, was pronounced dead at a Cedar Rapids hospital on Monday, Nov. 12, after her vehicle was rear-ended on Highway 30, near the Williams Boulevard off-ramp. Ellis was a 1991 graduate of Vinton-Shellsburg High School.

Tina, the mother of four, was the daughter of Larry Stroschein and Connie Bullock. On September 13, 1995, she was united in marriage to Andy Ellis. Tina was a published author and worked for Country Gourmet and Rockwell Collins  See her complete obituary HERE.
