Area veterans, accompanied by area Scouts retired worn American flags in the proper way on Wednesday evening, 

The flag retirement ceremony including the burning of dozens of flags outside the Post 57 American Legion Hall. The veterans and Scouts do this each year to show final respect for the American flag.
