News : Fine Arts Century Club seeks members for 2012-13

These VSHS students participate in fine arts; the Century Club supports their efforts.

The Vinton-Shellsburg Fine Arts Century Club Board would like to thank its past and present members for supporting the Fine Arts programs at the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District. The Vinton-Shellsburg Fine Arts Century Club (VSFACC) is a community organization that strives to foster the growth and development of the Fine Arts Programs of the Vinton-Shellsburg Schools.

The funds raised are raised through individuals and businesses that choose to become members of the organization. Last year, the VSFACC was able to provide assistance in funding the purchase of costumes for the Fall musical, frames for the drama department, and student hotel/housing/participation at UNI Honor Choir, Dorian Honor Choir, Chamber Choir contests, UNI Honor Band, ISU Honor Band, and State Debate Speech Contest. With this article is a picture of the students at Vinton-Shellsburg High School who are involved in the Fine Arts, and benefit from this organization. Whether you are a member of the organization, a proud parent of a student enrolled in the fine arts programs, or a business or individual considering joining us, we thank you for support the fine arts programs.

If you are interested in becoming a member, we invite you to write your tax deductible $100 donation to V-S Fine Arts Century Club and mail to Mrs. Heather Kingsbury at Farmers Savings Bank and Trust, 401 B Avenue, Vinton, Iowa 52349.
