Dave & Lori Bierschenck were the 2012 Vinton Farmers Market Salsa Contest winners.

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is happy to announce that Dave & Lori Bierschencks were crowned the winners of the 2012 Farmers market Salsa Contest. The judges were quite impressed with all of the Salsa Entries but there was just something a little special that helped them make that final decision to pick this great salsa as the champion. After the judges were all done judging, all the salsas were available to all market goers to sample with chips.

The Vinton Farmers Market is held at the Vinton Rail Road Depot from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. every Thursday through September 27th. Vendors are still bringing some fantastic produce and baked goods along with fresh off the grill sandwiches from Merchants Grill and the Benton County Cattleman.
