Several power lines protected this car from a falling tree a year ago today.
The weather is perfect this morning as Vinton residents go about their normal routines. Yet many remember all too well July 11 of 2011, when a 130-mph wind storm caused millions of dollars in damage and destroyed thousands of trees from Dysart to Garrison to Vinton to Urbana.
