On Monday, May 21st, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were 4 tables of players.  Darlene Werning and Bernadine Barr tied for 1st place with 252 points.  Don Selken   won 3rd place with 215 points.  After cards, refreshments were served by the card club and HACAP provided the beverages.

 

On Tuesday, May 22nd, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Bob Hauser.   

 

On Wednesday, May 23rd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo.  Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and Phyllis Ebert handpicked the games.  Game one was a 9-Pack with Mae Wilhelmi winning.  Game two was the Four Corners One Bingo with Phyllis Ebert winning.  Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Faye Goodell winning.  Game four was Frame the Free Spot with Greta Geiken winning.  Faye Goodell and Mae Wilhelmi won game five with Blackout.

 

On Thursday, May 24th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller.  The games were handpicked by Marion Isbell.  Game one was the Letter “X” with Faye Goodell winning.  Game two was a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell winning.  Game three was Stair Steps with Ruth Wieditz and Elsie Knaack winning.  Game four was a Flag with Jeanette Blazicek winning.  Elsie Knaack won game five with Blackout.

 

On Tuesday, May 29th, the activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo.  The volunteer caller was Maureen Haisman.  The games were handpicked by JoAnn Roster.  Game one was a Crazy “T” with June Salerno winning.  Game two was the Letter “L” with Marion Isbell winning.  Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with June Salerno winning.  Game four was the Letter “W” with Faye Goodell winning.  Jeanette Blazicek won game five with Blackout.

 

On Wednesday, May 30th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo.  Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and Faye Goodell handpicked the games.  Game one was Four Postage Stamps with Ruth Wiedtiz winning.  Game two was a Large Diamond with Ruth Wieditz winning.  Game three was a 9-Pack with Greta Geiken winning.  Game four was a Layer Cake with Phyllis Ebert winning.  Jeanette Blazicek and Ruth Wieditz won game five with Blackout. 

 

On Thursday, May 31st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo.  Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.  Dora Vogt handpicked the games.  Game one was Any 9 Numbers with Faye Goodell winning.  Game two was Two Regular Bingos with JoAnn Roster winning.  Game three was the Letter “X” with Greta Geiken winning.  Game four was an Outside Picture Frame with Dora Vogt winning.  Marion Isbell won game five with Blackout. 

 

On Friday, June 1st, the activity was a 500 Card Party.  There were 5 tables of card players.  Clete Friedman won 1st place with 4,000 points.  Bud Barr won 2nd place with 3,680 points.  Don Burmeister won 3rd place with 3,510 points.  After the games, refreshments were provided byc Card Club.  Beverages were provided the HACAP.

Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

 

Everyone is WELCOME!  Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal.  Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal.  Carryout meals are available.  We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn.  The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older.  We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements.  Delivery is throughout Benton County.  Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more. 

 

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month.  It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month.  Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with.  The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing.  We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.  The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited.  The second is a gift certificate for a free 4thStreet Diner meal.  Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761.  Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.
