As we draw closer to another November election, please remember that all campaign signs for any candidate must be on private property and not in the public right-of-way (ROW). Generally, the ROW is the area between the public sidewalk and the street, or 33 feet from the center of the paved road towards your house. While the prohibition of campaign signs from the ROW is a city ordinance, it was mandated to be enacted by the state. For more information, please contact Vinton City Hall at 472-4707.
