The Vinton Police Department issued 15 citations, including one from a state-reportable traffic addident, in March. Also, one minor was cited for second offense possession of tobacco while under age and another for a third offense tobacco violation. There was one citation for an open container of alcohol violation; the rest were for traffic offenses. The VPD issued 23 written warnings and six parking/street storage or snow removal citations. The department handled 154 complaints or calls for service.
