News : Lutheran Home Communities Giving Tree a Success

Thank you for making the Lutheran Home Communities Giving Tree a huge success!

The Lutheran Home Communities sponsors a Giving Tree each year for Benton County elderly shut-ins. Over 80 gifts were purchased for those who are in need! Participants selected a tag off of the tree with a gift suggestion, most of which are under $20.00. A few requested gifts were body lotion, birdseed, cleaning supplies, nightgowns, etc.

A very special thank you goes out to the Vinton-Shellsburg Girls Basketball Team. In the spirit of giving, all 21 players and coaches took a tag off of the Giving Tree instead of buying gifts to exchange with each other.

The Lutheran Home Health Agency will deliver all of the gifts during the week before Christmas. Again, thank you making Christmas a little merrier for those in need.
