News : Vinton woman wins $10K in Powerball drawing

A Vinton woman won a $10,000 prize in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. Mary Bell purchased her winning ticket at John’s Qwik Stop, 814 C Ave. in Vinton. She claimed her prize Wednesday at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. The winning numbers in the $35.4 million Powerball jackpot drawing on Saturday were: 4-35-36-51-56 and Powerball 8. The Power Play®multiplier was 5. Bell won a $10,000 prize by matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. Had she added the Power Play to her ticket, Bell would have multiplied her $10,000 win by five to win a $50,000 prize. There was no jackpot winner in Saturday’s drawing.
