Ok, THIS time we mean it, well we meant it last time, but stuff happens, and then the right thing doesn't happen as planned :)

As it looks now, we are scheduled to be down Wednesday afternoon through Thanksgiving!

Enjoy the time with family and enjoy that turkey!

For those of you who missed this the first round...

Over time, we have run into the problem of having enough bandwidth to keep the website up and running. In other words, we have gotten too big for our britches...and it's all YOUR fault...*insert applause here*.

From the beginning it was thought that surely Vinton Today wouldn't demand too much bandwidth to operate and after the 3rd or 4th time of expanding our tech guy, Wes, threw up his hands and cried, "UNCLE!!!" He decided it was time to move Vinton Today into a more spacious location, so that we have all the elbow room we'd need...(he thinks) and like he said before, "This time it will fix the problem." Uh huh, for a while:)

So to all of our faithful readers, our loyal subscribers and advertisers...remember it's our version of..."This is only a test. For the next 24 to 72 hours this website is conducting no business. We are moving to a much larger bandwith If this had been an actual emergency, you would have been instructed to get out your hankies and have a good cry, but have no fear, 'We'll be baaack'"

The good news, you can have all weekend to read that brand spanking new "Showcase" that hit your mailboxes, look at all the ads there, do a bit of Christmas shopping and we'll meet ya'll back here on Monday!

So remember, don't panic, for those of you severely addicted to Vinton Today, this may require a trip to the doctor. (Doctors, assure all panicked patients that we will indeed be back, and everything will be alright!)

For major happenings, or if an emergency should occur, stay tuned to Vinton Today on Facebook! We should be back to normal before the end of the weekend.
