Vinton Unlimited is partnering with local businesses once again to create an experience for Mothers and Daughters they will remember for a lifetime!

Join us in Vinton, Iowa on October 22nd and 23rd for a fantastic weekend to pamper yourself and those who have held with you "Through it all"!      

Wine tasting, great shopping, seminars, music in the streets, and so much more to make sure you and your girlfriends have a fantastic weekend away from the hustle and bustle.        

There will be numerous classes and seminars taking place throughout the weekend such as:

 Relieving Foot, Leg, and Back Pain

 Learning How to Knit, Knitting 101 and 102

 Creating a Stylish Seasonal or Flower Light

Linen & Lace – Clingman’s Pharmacy
Description: This seminar will cover the care of, identification and age estimation of vintage
lace & embroidery.
Time: Saturday at 9am & Sunday at 10:00am
Length of Time: 50 Minutes
Fee: FREE!
 
Magical Bubble Wand – Nature’s Corner
Description: Using colorful wire, wooden handle and a glass decoration, make a magical
bubble or princess wand. Create your own pattern or use one of our templates.
Time: Saturday at 9:00am
Length of Time: 30 Minutes
Fee: $10 including charm
 
WonderFALL Fashion Show – Cameron’s Clothing
Description: Check-out this season’s wonderful fall fashions at Cameron’s & Henkle Creek.
Join us for an in-store fashion show and wine tastings. Wine tasting will take place all day.
Time: Saturday at 10:00am
Length of Time: 20 Minutes

Making a Pair of Earrings – Jessy’s Gems Gallery
Description: Design & Make a pair of stud or dangle earrings
Time: Saturday at 11:00am
Length of Time: 1 Hour
Fee: $12 – Includes materials. Bring a friend or Mother/Daughter – 2nd Person is $10
 
Foot Levelers – Michael & Dowd
Description: Are you experiencing foot, leg, or back pain? Your feet may be the cause! Get
your feet digitally scanned for an individually customized shoe insert – 100% guaranteed! It
takes just 5 minutes to gain a lifetime of relief!
Time: Saturday at 1:30
Length of Time: Just 5 minutes, but we will be at Michael & Dowd from 1:30 – 3:30

Knitting 101 – US Bank Community Room
Description: Learn the basics of Knitting. How to start a project & how to do the Knit Stitch.
Participants will receive patterns & resources to help continue their Knitting journey.
Participants will need one set of 10 inch, size 8 needles & one skein of worsted weight yarn.
Light colors are easiest to work with. Supplies can be purchased from the teacher the day of
class for $10.
Time: Saturday at 2:30pm
Length of Time: 1 Hour
Fee: FREE if you bring your own supplies, otherwise, $10
 
“Book” Purse or Dollar Dance Purse - Viking Sewing Center
Description: Take a fabric lined book and create a purse with cute handles & button accents.
(You will need your own hardback book with pages completely removed).
Time: Saturday at 3:30pm
Length of Time: 1 hours
Fee: $30 – includes machine rental
 
Knitting 102 – US Bank Community Room
Description: Learn the 2nd half of knitting basics. Learn how to end a project & the purl stitch.
Participants will receive patterns and resources to help continue their Knitting journey.
Participants will need one set of 10 inch, size 8 needles and one skein of worsted weight yarn.
Light colors are easiest to work with. Supplies can be purchased from the teacher for $10 on
the day of class.
Time: Sunday at 11:00am
Length of Time: 1 Hour
Fee: FREE if you bring your own supplies, otherwise, $10
 
Make a Flower/Seasonal Light – Jessy’s Gems Gallery
Description: Make & take home a pretty flower or seasonal light
Time: Sunday at 1:00pm
Length of Time: 1 Hour
Fee: $10 per person or $18 for 2 if you bring a Mother/Daughter or Friend
 
How to Bake a Wine Cake – L Marie Boutique
Description: We will demonstrate the recipe and how to mix one up, then show and sample
the finished project. We will also have the recipe for everyone on a recipe card.
