News : 2011 OPUS Honor Choirs choose area students

Congratulations to eighth grade chorus members Abby Scheel and Caleb Kruckenberg who have been selected to sing in the 2011 OPUS Honor Choirs in Ames in November. More than 3000 students audition each year for a place in these choirs. We are proud to continue the tradition of having students from Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School chosen for this honor! Thank you to all students who worked hard through the audition process. Your efforts were awesome and we'll be able to audition again next fall! Ninth grader Katie Hancock was also selected for the second year in a row for this honor!
