Funnel cakes and marching bands are just two of the attractions (besides football) that bring hundreds of people to high school athletic fields each Friday night.

Vinton is no exception. The Lions Club trailer can be seen at each home game. The VSHS marching band also performs each week, refining its routine for its competition while entertaining the audience at halftime.

Mascots, cheerleaders and others join the fun.

If you missed the first Viking home game, you have four more opportunites, starting next Friday, Sept. 16. Other home games are Sept. 30 (Homecoming vs. Anamosa), Oct. 7 and Oct. 21.
