The town was buzzing with activity on Wednesday.

West 9th St. saw a huge tree being taken down on C Ave. and a few hours later at the intersection of A Avenue there was a car accident. It involved a pickup and sedan.

Downtown, Farmer’s Bank is getting the west wall of the building repaired from an accident earlier this winter.

“The Retention Pond” built on the south end of town at the intersection of Highways 150 and 218, specifically to help curb the flooding in town. is full! It looks like a proper lake, and I'm wondering if it was made large enough to hold all of the water!

In the 600 blocks between A and C Ave. Vinton’s electrical workers connected new wiring to the homes in these blocks (maybe even further). Hats off to Vinton Municipal Utilities.

And finally, this little squirrel is unfazed by all of the activity!
