News : Benton County man dies from injuries received in a crash on Monday night

A Benton County man has died after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck in the 7900 block of Highway 151 on Monday evening. 

The Iowa State Patrol responded to a call received at 5:06 p.m. A collision was reported between a 2007 Chevy Silverado and 2013 Mack Semi-truck.  George Martin, 33 of Norway, was driving northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with the semi. 

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was from Conroy, Iowa and was not hurt in the crash.

Assisting the call was the Benton County and Iowa County Sheriff's Office, Blairstown EMS, and the Norway Fire Department.
