On the third Saturday, Wesley's Mobile Food Pantry provides food to area families. Last month, approximately 70 area families benefited from the generousity of the organization.
The group had help from area scouts and several volunteers to pull off the event. (Hint: The pantry noted that help provided by area youth is appreciated...) Last month, they were able to provide tie blankets and quilts, generously made by the Scouts and others to those who needed one.
Denise Wiley also helped to provide some extra pork in the amount of $500 worth of ground pork donation on behalf of the Benton County Pork Producers. The pantry expressed their sincere gratitude to the Pork Producers and our community supporters for their kindness to neighbors reliant on the Wesley Mobile Food Pantry Vinton.
The food pantry will be held this Saturday of each month from 9-10:30 a.m. Please bring your own bags/boxes to carry home your goodies!
Be sure to follow them on their Facebook page!
