News : Incoming weather Thursday night and into Friday

A few strong to severe thunderstorms remain possible this evening into early tonight along and south of I-80 with the main threats being hail and gusty winds.

Rain or a mix will change to snow tonight from west to east, leading to periods of moderate to heavy snow mainly north and west of the Quad Cities.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued across the northwest portion of the outlook area with Winter Weather Advisories extending to the southeast, but not including the Quad Cities at this time.
