News : Benton County Sheriff's Department answers 11,464 calls in 2025

At the end of the Benton County Sheriff's Office list of arrests for the week, was this small note.

"For 2025, Benton County Deputies issued 577 citations, 685 warnings, and investigated 226 motor vehicle accidents. Deputies handled a total of 11,464 calls for service for the year 2025."

Benton County is home to 25,829 residents. If you were in the half of the county that was fortunate enough to either not be breaking the law or in need of the department's assistance, congratulations on a good year! For those that may have needed to call the department, or needed to be pulled over for speeding, because you know better...here's hoping for a better 2026.
