Leaders cut the ribbon for the new playground Tuesday.
Kids enjoy new Shellsburg playground.
There was a ribbon cutting at Shellsburg Elementary on Tuesday evening to celebrate the completion of the first phase of the new playground. Many donors and volunteers helped make the project a success.
Leaders who participated in the ribbon cutting included:
Phillip Travis - Mayor of Shellsburg Jamie Schoch- Shellsburg PTO -Committee Chair Ryan Davis- Assistant VSHS Principle (filling in for Shellsburg Principal Sheila Wendel who is out on medical leave) Mary Jo Hainstock- Superintendent On behalf of the Shellsburg PTO- Playground Committee, we would like to thank the Vinton-Shellsburg School District, Staff, Sponsers, City of Shellsburg, Shellsburg Fire Department, and Community Volunteers for all the hard work and time spent to make this playground safe and enjoyable for our children.
