News : Vinton Police Department adds two New Officers

Officers Kody Pierson and Zachary Staab take their oath of office to join the Vinton Police Department

At the September 11 Vinton City Council meeting, Mayor Bud Maynard administered the Oath of Office to Kody Pierson and Zachary Staab. The two will join the Vinton Police Department.

Staab a lifelong resident of Vinton has previously served at the Blackhawk County Jail. He is the son of Jeremy and Alicia Staab.

Pierson, husband of Marissa and dad of five, is also an Army Veteran who has served four years in combat in Afghanistan and 10 years in the reserves being deployed again to Afghanistan and Kuwait.
