By Addyson Sweeney and Audrey Seiler

Recently members of the Center Point-Urbana FFA chapter participated in many ways at the Iowa State Fair.  Members competed in both the swine and photography events where all their hard work to get here paid off. Caleigh Lewis and Kinze Manson both showed swine.

Caleigh got Reserve Champion FFA market hog, Reserve Champion division 5 market gilt. 3rd overall division 4 crossbreed barrow, and Reserve Champion Hampshire breeding gilt. Kinze was Reserve Champion Hereford gilt. Caleigh also participated in the sale of champions for her Reserve Champion FFA market hog. Additionally, Caleigh Lewis and Addyson Sweeney participated in the photography event.

Addyson received a blue ribbon for her black and white photo, a red ribbon for her color photo, and a red ribbon for her plants photo. Caleigh also got a blue ribbon for her still life compositions and a white ribbon for her plant photos. Four members also volunteered as ushers for the grandstand events. These members were Bella Edler, Kaycey Fink, Jordynn Fink, and Leslie Johnson. They worked through many hot and rainy days to help ensure that everything ran smoothly in the grandstand.

The Center Point-Urbana FFA is proud of these individuals' accomplishments. These members represented the chapter at a high level of competition and their hours of hard work and dedication are reflected in their success.
