News : Livestock & Meats Mastery: VS FFA Takes on State CDEs

On Saturday, August 23rd, eight members participated in State Livestock and Meats Judging Career Development Events. Kirsten Pettit, Jameson Demuth, Cole Birker, and Will Kruetner competed in Livestock Judging where the team earned 35th silver placing.

The FFA Livestock Evaluation contest consists of judging animals for quality/potential and providing reasons for placings. For Meats Judging, Ali Lutz, Zane Helter, Levi Lutz, and Ciara Dods earned 12th place. This contest includes judging meat cuts and carcasses for quality, yield, in addition to proper retail identification.
