Michele joined Virginia Gay Hospital in 1980 as a radiology technologist and quickly rose through the ranks, pursuing further education while working full-time. Her commitment to excellence led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Mount Mercy University and later an MBA from California National University. Her contributions span the planning, development, and implementation of essential healthcare services and programs, and her leadership extends to state-wide platforms, where she has served as past president of the Iowa Hospital Association's Purchasing and Materials Management Group and a member of the IHA Council on Education and Member Services.
Michele's community involvement has been equally impactful. A dedicated member of Vinton Kiwanis for over 31 years and a longtime volunteer for initiatives such as the Dementia Friendly Vinton Action Team, she has tirelessly advocated for quality of life in her community. Michele's legacy at Virginia Gay Hospital and throughout Vinton is marked by an unwavering commitment to healthcare excellence, compassionate service, and an indelible influence on those she has mentored and inspired.
