In mid-February, Vinton-Shellsburg FFA members woke up Sunday morning thrilled for the week ahead of them. FFA Week is a week out of the year that V-S FFA members anticipate. They had planned a week full of fun, making memories, and making new friends.

The busy week of games and fun officially started on Monday, February 19th. The high school officer team held a pep assembly where they wished the members competing at Sub-Districts good luck and held their own version of Ag Olympics.

Some of the games included butter sculpting, roping, cornhole, quizzes, and butter making. Tuesday during lunch, members showed students how to tie a tie to wear with their Official Dress. At the middle school, officers made stations to help members enhance their leadership and communication skills. The V-S FFA Alumni and Supporters held a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch in cooperation with the chapter's annual Family Dinner.

Wednesday was full of anticipation while members were at Sub-Districts competing in events after their member breakfast in the morning. Thursday and Friday were filled with interactive activities at the middle school as well as a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast before school.

To wrap up the week, the V-S FFA chapter held a Dip, Dive, and Dodge event for all FFA chapters in Benton County. By the end of the week, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter had a blast reaching out to the community and teaching students about opportunities in FFA.
