A fire at the farm of Wayne and Sharon Rhinehart brought the Vinton Fire Department. Around 2:00 p.m. a call came in from Wayne about a fire in his field. Wayne was baling when he noticed a large bale on fire in the field. He looked behind him to see the baler that he was pulling was also on fire. He quickly detached the baler from the tractor sparing the tractor from damage. There were no injuries from the fire, fortunately.

The fire department brought out a tanker truck and the brush truck to put out the fire.

In true fashion, a neighboring farmer came to check to make sure everyone was alright. But not before ribbing Rhinehart a little by asking if he'd like to come and do some baling for him. On a serious note he asked if Rhinehart needed anything. Not missing a beat, Rhinehart replied, "A new baler."
