On Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22, the Boy Scout Troop and Pack 47 distributed door hangers at residences all over Vinton with instructions for donating to this year's Scouting for Food event. This was a change from prior years where plastic bags were distributed.
On Saturday, October 28, Troop and Pack 47 will go around and pick up all bags of donated food/items left out on doorsteps per the instructions on the door hangers.
All food/items collected will be provided to the Benton County Food Pantry.
