News : Boy Scouts to hold Can/Bottle Drive October 21

On Saturday, October 21, Boy Scout Troop 47 will be conducting another can/bottle drive. The event will be at the Farmer's Savings Bank parking lot starting at 8:00 a.m. and will run until 3:00 p.m.

On Saturday, October 21 and Sunday October 22, Troop and Pack 47 will also be distributing door hangers at residences all over Vinton with instructions for donating to this year's Scouting for Food event. This is a change from prior years where plastic bags were distributed. Be sure to check your door for instructions!

On Saturday, October 28, Troop and Pack 47 will go around and pick up all bags of donated food/items left out on doorsteps per the instructions on the door hangers.

All food/items collected will be provided to the Benton County Food Pantry.
