News : Congratulations, VSHS Class of 2011! Graduation at 2 p.m. Sunday

     We'd like to say...Congratulations to all of the Vinton-Shellsburg 2011 Graduates!

     Graduation starts at 2:00 Sunday, May 29. The event is open to the public; doors open at 1 p.m.

     Graduation speakers will include Class of 2011 members Wes Lyons and Megan Owens as student speakers; Kirk Johnson is the faculty speaker selected by the students.

     The VSHS Band will play; and the Chamber Choir and All-Senior choir members will sing. 

     Awards include recognition for those who earned a 3.5 or higher GPA and those who earned the honor of being a Black and Gold Cord Community Service Awardee. 

      "It is always a great day as we recognize and celebration our students’ work," says Superintendent Mary Jo Hainstock.

     I know it's hectic this weekend for most of you, so when you crash tonight, and are relaxing here at your computer, here's a bedtime story for each of you to enjoy.
