Adam Hildebrandt, a former Center Point-Urbana teacher who had faced two charges avoids prison time.

Hildebrandt was originally charged with Sexual Exploitation by a school employee (which was dropped) and Attempt to Entice a Minor under 16.

Iowa District 6 Court Judge, Justin Lightfoot, handed down a 2-year deferred judgment, or 2 years of probation with Hildebrandt pleading guilty to enticing a minor.

The investigation showed that he inappropriately touched and then texted a 13 year old girl.

Hildebrandt will be required to complete the "sex offender registry" requirements for up to 10 years.

DC July 19, 2023, 2:35 pm Adults and the judicial system failed this child. What message does it send to her and other children in similar situations? What message does it send to her peers that now tease and criticize her if there’s no concrete punishment of at least some jail time, not just probation. Disgusting!
