The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA officers attended the annual COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) Conference on Friday, June 9th.

At this event, the officers went to different workshops to discuss how team dynamics should work on an officer team.

Some of the other workshops consisted of learning how to be a great teammate, as well as how to communicate effectively. After everyone attended each station, they broke up into their officer positions and learned more about what their specific role will be in the FFA chapter.

Vice President Grayce McClintock reflected on the event, "I learned how to listen to my teammates and communicate effectively with them to be the best leaders for our chapter."

All in all, COLT was a successful training and every officer went home feeling confident in their new roles.
