News : New Garbage Service to begin July 1 in Vinton

S&J Sanitation out of Marengo will be taking over for the previous garbage pick-up service beginning on July 1st.
Garbage pick-up days will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.  If customers currently have a Monday or Tuesday pick-up there isn't a change.  Current Wednesday customers will be serviced on Friday. 
New garbage and recycling cans will be delivered to every household the last week in June. 
If you notice on the calendar, the green weeks denote the recycling weeks. 
S&J will have a booth this weekend at Party in the Park this Saturday with an information tent from 10- 2 and will also be at the Farmers Markets the first two weeks in July to answer any other questions you may have.
Note that on the calendar the pick up time for Christmas, changes.
On that week, everything is bumped to the next day. Christmas is on Monday, so pickup would be Tuesday, Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday. Friday, December 29 moves to Saturday, December 30.
J&R Sanitation will be collecting their Recycling cans from June 19-21 and the garbage cans June 26-28.
