By Co-Reporter, Juliana LuisOn Wednesday, May 3rd, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA chapter assisted with teaching 3rd graders about agriculture. The day included learning about animal safety, machine safety, as well as corn byproducts.

Throughout the day the chapter members taught students about poultry, rabbits, swine, and horses. Sophomore Izzie Birker said, "I really enjoyed the opportunity to teach younger kids about animals and animal safety."

The remainder of the chapter led students to new stations and assisted with meal preparations. Overall, 3rd Grade Ag day was a success leaving many students enlightened in the world of agriculture.
