On December 31st, 7 senior members of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter traveled to the Capitol in Des Moines, to represent the chapter at the annual Legislative Symposium.

The chapter traveled to Embassy Suites to start out their day. While they were there they were able to listen to guest speakers, Mike Maig, Brent Johnson, Elizabeth Burns, Brenna Bird and Governor Kim Reynolds. They were also able to watch Governor Reynolds sign the Proclamation on National FFA Week.

After listening to the guest speakers, the members traveled to the Capitol where they had the chance to tour the building, see the State Constitution, and capture a picture with the Governor.

Overall the members had a great time at the Capitol and they all learned something new.
