Governor Reynolds and other Republican Iowa candidates pulled into Vinton aboard Reynold's campaign bus on Tuesday afternoon. Amidst all of the usual talking points that one would expect from those on the Republican ticket, the candidates didn't fail to hit all of the hot buttons.

Several area residents stood outside to listen as the candidates spoke and cheered on the Governor. Ashley Hinson, Brenna Bird candidate for Attorney General, Adam Gregg the Lt. Governor, and Paul Pate Secretary of State.

Reynolds addressed the increase in everyday expenses for families, open borders which she feels is intentional calling it a dereliction of duty to not protect the sovereignty of the nation. She spoke of parental rights being placed on the sidelines when it comes to the education of children. Mentioning that if parents do show up, they do so knowing that the Department of Justice might show up at their door. She was met with cheers when she said, "Aren't we glad that we live in the freedom-loving state that we do where family, freedom and hard work are the foundation of who we are? We know boys from girls, we love our country, we love our military and we love our men and women who serve in law enforcement."

She took a moment to thank those that have told her that they are praying for her and her family. She said, "there's nothing better than you could do for me my family."

Vinton was stop number 28 on her tour through the state. She plans to continue the tour throughout the election.
