News : Vinton Lions help to replace tattered flags

This last Memorial Day, while taking down the many flags at the area cemeteries, the Legion members found 20-40 flags that were faded, frayed or torn and that needed to be disposed of.

The Vinton Lions Club purchased 10 flags to help replace some of the retired flags.

If you would like to help the Legion to replace old and tattered flags, you can contact Craig Streeter or mail a donation to the local American Legion, P.O. Box 264, Vinton, Iowa 52349 just label it for "flag replacement." The cost per flag is around $60.
