Sharon Dieter celebrating 30 Years! Michele Schoonover stated, "Sharon has been at VGH her entire nursing career. She has been a preceptor to Kirkwood nursing students, as well as many "new nurses". It's not surprising Sharon chose this occupation as she comes from a family of deep faith and belief in providing service to others!"

Teresa Buelow, Denise Evans, Sherri Isbell and Dr. Brian Meeker celebrating 25 years! Michele Schoonover stated:

"Terri Buelow came to VGH in 1996 as a new RN. After about 4 years she was named Charge Nurse. Since 2004 she has been in her current position as Acute Care Nurse Manager. Terri is very involved in her church, Central Lutheran in Newall and I always looked forward to the annual peach sale fundraiser- best peaches I ever tasted. I wish Terri a very well deserved and over-due retirement next month."

"Denise Evans came to VGH as a single lady but was engaged. Good for VGH that she & Jason married and settled in the area to raise their family. She was named ADON about 2002. A couple of years later, she received additional training to work in OR as both a recovery room nurse and circulating nurse. Denise takes great pride in providing out-patient clinic services and an expanded surgery program that includes ENT, general surgery, urology and orthopedic procedures".

Sherri Isbell began her career at VGH as a physical therapy clerk. Next came administrative/HR clerk, and a little bit of physician credentialing. With the growth of technology and electronic records, Sherri sought additional training and job experience in Information technology and was named CIO in 2014."

"Dr. Brian Meeker came to Vinton in 1992 and few years later, working with Mike Riege and the board plans were made for VGH to operate the clinic, merge with Anthony clinic and begin operations as Vinton Family Medical Clinics, which occurred December 1996. Since that time, he has truly made VGH a place to call home. Dr. Meeker has made significant efforts to decrease colon cancer in Benton County and his commitment to primary care. Per his web-site post - "Vinton Family Medical Clinic has a mission to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of the patients we serve and the community at large."
