The Center Point community continues to show the love, donating to the Friends of the Library giving trees. Kind contributions to the Socktober tree and the November and December winter warmers tree at the Center Point Library piled up more than 400 items of socks, hats, gloves, booties, scarves, and masks for all ages. Friends forwarded this love to Waypoint (Kids Pointe), the Willis Dady Shelter and the Young Parents Network's We Care shop in Cedar Rapids.

Then during Christmas break, Kevin and Becky Jones contributed some fun by leading a Friends-sponsored teen table game night at the Library. Kevin is pastor of the First Christian Church in Center Point, Becky is a Friends member, and both are avid-possibly rabid--table game collectors and players.

There's more love to come with a "Love at the Library" free concert by The Laid Back Band, on Thursday, February 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room. All ages are invited to this Friendly, dancey, romancey, lovesong-y, Valentine-y gathering.

Friends also would love to thank everyone who so generously donated more than 400 items of hats, socks, mittens etc. to the Library giving trees--which Friends forwarded to the Willlis Dady Shelter, the Young Parents Network and Waypoint in Cedar Rapids.

Thanks also to Kevin and Becky Jones, Center Point, who led a Friends-sponsored teen table game night at the Library during Christmas break.
