The scarecrows who won in the Fall Festival Scarecrow Contest

Ehlinger's Express brought in first place with this sweet scarecrow.

Edward's Plumbing , Heating and Air Conditioning "cracked" us up with their display.

McDowell's brought their work outside, complete with a handsaw for their scarecrow.

The first Fall Festival Scarecrow Contest winners were announced on Sunday evening. There were a total of 44 entries competing for the top three places.
Placing first was Ehlinger's Express with their scarecrow based on candy. In second and third were Edward's Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning with their scarecrow plumbers and McDowell's with their carpenter.
Special thanks to all of the area businesses who competed and gave residents something to smile at, and to the Vinton Parks and Recreation for organizing the event!
