140 tractors rolled into Vinton on Thursday evening in preparation for the North Iowa Tractor ride. The ride covered parts of Benton, Buchanan, Black Hawk, Tama and Linn Counties. This is the 13th Annual ride for the group.

The vintage and restored tractors were headquartered at the Benton County Fairgrounds for their overnight stay, and headed out to Brandon on Friday morning to see the "World's Largest Frying Pan." The group then drove to La Porte City for lunch, and went on to drive through the Hickory Hills Park and onto Dysart for an afternoon break then back to Vinton for the overnight stay.

Saturday morning the riders took a different route out of Vinton heading for Urbana and driving on to Center Point and into Palo for lunch. The group then met at Bloomsbury Farm.

Tractors from all over Iowa made the trip and at least one from Minnesota. The following counties were present at the tractor ride: Allamakee, Benton (of course), Blackhawk, Buchanan, Buena Vista, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clay, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Franklin, Hamilton, Hancock, Howard. Iowa, Jackson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Mitchell, O'Brien, Poweshiek, Sac, Scott, Sioux, Story, Thompson, Washington, Winnebago, Winneshiek, Wright.

Most tractors sported a single rider, some couples teamed up and some were made comfy with seats from a car for the ride.

Here are pictures of all the riders!
